Terms of Service

By using Group Chat Knows ("the service"), operated by Office of Special Projects LLC, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Group Chat Knows is an SMS-based application operated by Office of Special Projects LLC that lets you share and query place recommendations with people you trust. You interact with the service by texting our phone number or by using our onboarding web page.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the service. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. SMS messaging

The consent checkbox on our signup page reads, in full: "I agree to receive conversational SMS messages from Office of Special Projects LLC (Group Chat Knows) related to my use of the service. Messages I may receive include: (1) a one-time signup verification code, (2) confirmations after a place I sent in is saved, (3) brief follow-up questions about places I save (for example, 'what would you tell a friend?'), and (4) results when I query the system. I will not receive marketing, promotional, automated alerts, or third-party messages. Message frequency varies based on my activity. Message and data rates may apply. I can reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help."

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Submit content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or infringes others' rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its underlying systems.
• Spam, flood, or otherwise abuse rate limits.
• Submit fake or paid placements as if they were genuine personal recommendations.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of the content you submit (your recommendations, photos, and notes). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it to the people in your trust graph for the purpose of operating the service.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time by replying STOP or emailing us to request account deletion.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or availability of any recommendation returned by the service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
